San Bernardino, Heart of the Inland Empire
San Bernardino- Your Destination for Recreation
At the crossroads of the major I-215 and I-10 freeways, San Bernardino Valley is located between the metropolitan cities of Los Angeles and Palm Springs. The historic Route 66 Highway travels through the Inland Empire, a cultural region within a short drive to some of California's best-known attractions and destinations. The city of San Bernardino is located at the base of the San Bernardino National Forest in San Bernardino County, the largest county in the U.S.

The comfortable Mediterranean climate makes San Bernardino a great vacation destination for year-round, family activities. Visitors ski and snowboard in the wintertime, enjoy recreational city and county parks during the spring and summer months, pick apples at famous mountain orchards and ride scenic bike trails, camp, hike and fish year-round.

The San Bernardino Valley region features Southern California's wine-country, upscale shopping, cultural arts, top-ranked universities, PGA golf courses and the California Speedway, which annually hosts two NASCAR events.

Visitors will enjoy unique amenities such as the Western Region Little League Tournament, California's largest cruising classic car show the Route 66 Rendezvous, Las Vegas-style gaming and entertainment, Dodgers and Angels affiliate professional baseball teams and acclaimed Broadway performances and concert venues.
