Relay For LifeŽ is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back against this disease. During the event, teams of people gather at Barstow High Schools Langworthy Field and take turns walking or running laps. Each team keeps at least one team member on the track at all times. Entertainment, games contests and fun continue throughout the night.

Mardi Gras Parade Annual Kiwanis Mardi Gras/Halloween Parade held on Halloween each year.
Christmas in Calico Calico will offer an old fashioned Christmas in the ghost town during December. On the 10th, a tree lighting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Other activities will include visits with Santa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Christmas carols by community choral groups. "The Night Before Christmas" will be read at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoons.
Holiday lights will shine throughout the month and shops will be decorated in yuletide fashion.
Calico Ghost Haunt Visit Maggies Haunted Mine (if you dare), China Town's Haunted Ruins, & Calico's Terror Silver Train. Pumpkin Carving, Costume Contests, Trick-or-Treat, Halloween Characters and Inflatables and Ghost Stories in the afternoon and evening hours.
