Shop Along Palm Canyon Drive

Discover Mid-Century Modern gems for the home, hot outfits, galleries, and cafes.

Palm Springs is known for its eclectic, vibrant atmosphere, perfect for strolling, shopping, and dining. At the heart of it all is Palm Canyon Drive. The route, which snugs up against the base of the spectacularly rugged San Jacinto Range, leads to an equally spectacular collection of Mid-Century Modern boutiques, consignment dealers, art galleries, and antique shops. Here you can peruse for that perfect piece of desert-inspired artwork, or perhaps a sporty new tennis or golf outfit, not to mention style-conscious home furnishings and accessories. Stroll the length of the route, lined with handsome palm trees, then relax in a cafe with a perfectly blended martini or cool beverage.  Aim to hit Villagefest on Thursday nights, when locals and tourists alike shop the farmers' market and listen to live music.
