Relax at Squaw's Mountaintop Getaway

Ride to High Camp for Tahoe views, dining, winter snow sports, and summer fun.

Perched at 8,200 feet in the spectacular Sierra, Squaw's High Camp compound sits like an alpine Shangri-La, where you can soak up incredible views of jagged peaks under a brought sweep of sky, with turquoise blue Lake Tahoe in the distance. Ride Squaw's aerial tram to soar up 2,000 feet of granite cliffs High Camp, the main starting point for skiing and snowboarding in winter, and hiking and even mountain biking in summer.

But the real surprise is the slew of other activities offered here almost year round, including ice-skating on a historic rink used during the 1960 Olympics, splashing in a beautiful outdoor pool, and dining or just hanging out enjoying the view from a broad deck.

In winter, strap on your skis or board and race down the mountain, enjoy a bevy of dining options, or just breathe in the crisp mountain air. Later in the season and through summer, take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or relax in the hot tub. If you’re looking for a little more excitement, grab your bike for a bit of mountain biking or your boots for some hiking in the Sierras. And to top it off, spend time on the pool deck listening to live music, or experience a mix of music and yoga at the annual Wanderlust Festival .
