Avenue of the Giants, Redwood National Park

Experience a larger than life experience at Redwood National Park  - a designated World Heritage Site. The Avenue of the Giants is surrounded by Humboldt Redwoods State Park, which has the largest remaining stand of old growth redwoods in the world. Visitors can watch bronze Roosevelt elk grazing in the prairies, stand at the base of a coast redwood, and chill in the shade as huckleberry bushes tower over you in Redwood National Park.

» Gumbo Smackdown

The Kendall-Jackson Wine Center is having it’s first ever Gumbo Smackdown and you’re invited! The competition will feature our own Executive Chef Justin Wangler battling against chefs Jeff Mall of Zin, Josh Silvers from Syrah, and Jeff Riley of Equus. Each will prepare their own gourmet gumbo dish for you to sample, and you'll toss Mardis Gras beads to the chef responsible for your favorite recipe. Southern hospitality has its place, but this is a competition after all! Guests can enjoy cooking seminars each hour, with topics including techniques on sausage making and the importance of a good roux.
